My City Son

Yesterday we drove past a herd of cattle on our way home from church. The following conversation took place:

Mom: Look, boys! Cows!
Evan: Those cows are for sale you know.
Dad: How do you know those are for sale?
Evan: They have tags on their ears!

Oh, wow. That's great! When we were growing up, my mom used to call us "poor underprivileged city kids" whenever we said or did something that showed we had no real clue about country life.

Aww...wish I would have had a blog when my kids were little to record & remember things they said. I still don't have a blog! I'm addicted to reading them though. Found a link to yours from Boomama's. Reading about your new life in the country makes me think of one of my favorite books..."Fifty Acres and a Poodle" by Jeanne Marie Laskas. Have you read it? If not, you might want to. Very cute true story about moving to the country....reminds me of a blog! I'll definitely check back to hear about your adventures.

Funny story.

Just checking to make sure my mother didn't share a similar story about a donkey with you.
