And I've made bags! And more bags! In fact, my handmade bag count for yesterday reached about a dozen. I made bags like there's no tomorrow. I have hoards of fabric lying around, so I just started sewing them up into bags. And you know what? I'm going to give one away. Just leave a comment promising that you'll use whatever style and pattern I made and I'll send you one free of charge! :)
Free stuff. Works for me! Go to We Are That Family for more things that could work for you!
**Edited to note that I'll pick a winner on Saturday to give more people a chance to win!
**Edited a second time to add a link to the Green Bag Lady's blog. Sorry, I guess I'm out of practice in blogging! Here she is: www.greenbaglady.blogspot.com

Oh, pick me, pick me!!!
Oh I love contests! Pick me and you won't have to pay shipping :]
Sure, Tara, I'll use your bag. I'm still wearing the bracelet I got from you last Christmas, and I took the clipboard on the Build. I USE your presents!
I LOVE this, Tara! After reading your FB status yesterday, I went to the Green Bag Lady blog and I SO SO want to make some bags myself... I just don't have time this week. Maybe next? maybe not. Anyhow, thanks for the great idea and PICK ME, PLEASE!!!
EmmaB.
I think I need a bag to hold the hand towels we made. Aren't we creative?
Seriously, I would use the bag for library books, to hold returns until I make it to the store, to take into the store for purchases, to carry stuff to the pool... hmmm... can't wait to see what this bag looks like so I can fill it up!
Please post a link to the Green Bag Lady!
I promise that I'd be thrilled with a free bag in a surprise pattern! :)
Thanks for the giveaway!
OH OH... *jumping up and down*... Pick me Pick Me!!
:)
I'm going to make some to give away to family and friends and hopefully some to give away at the farmer's market to complete strangers... :)
but to get one would be oh so nice. :)
Stopping by from Teresa's blog. Please don't enter me to win a bag, I make them too! Just wanted to say thanks for reminding me to make more bags, I have kinda slacked off in that department lately. But I really enjoyed making them and was planning on giving them away on my blog too. Thanks for the re-inspiration! =)
Ooh fun! I love my cloth/reusable bags... I'd love to have one you'd made!
Tara, pick me!
I love the green bag lady and I tell everyone about her, would love to win your newest creation and help rid the planet of plastic bags !

Woot, woot!
A girl can't have too many bags.

Great idea! Please put my name in your drawing. I looked up the Green Bag Lady's blog - what a neat web site.
Great suggestion to make those bags. They seem like something maybe even I could sew, maybe?
Oh, I love bags, any color...no more plastic bags for me
Neat link! And I, too, love bags!
I am a bag lady. I LOVE bags. Just ask my husband and my mommy. I keep buying bags of all sorts: diaper bags, backpacks, tote bags, purses, and grocery bags at Kohl's! I will use your bag. I can never have enough of them! Well, Ross disagrees...
I am switching over to cloth and would love to have one of your bags. My husband and I are missionaries and these are great to put in our luggage and then have a small bag to take shopping when we are out of the country getting fresh produce in Haiti. Please pick me. We are back in the states for a while right now.
Thanks,
Well of course I'd use whatever beautiful bag my good friend Tara made and sent to me! I promise! And if I ever learn to properly use this machine I've got, I'll make some too (with all the fabric I've got lying around)!
Hi Tara. I love cloth bags! I am switching everything from plastic and would like to start making my own bags as well. I am even converting the husband to taking our own bags to the store!
Thanks!
I love these bags and the fact that it only takes 6 or so to carry the whole weeks worth of groceries. I would love to use one of your bags too! Thank you

Tara,
You are doing a good thing. I saw the Green Bag Lady some time ago and was so impressed that I e mailed her and offered my services She said since I live in a different state to just do what she is doing in my own state
Needless to say I have done just that. After I went thru my stash of fabric I got worried and ask her how she got people to donate material. She said not to worry it would come to just keep telling everyon that I work with donated material and it will begin to come in. and so I prayed alot and sure enough I was supplied with what I need to continue.
Keep up the good work. My only problem is that no one comes to my blog. But I give the bags out anyway to people at the grocery or where I pay bills or where ever I go.
We will soon or later conquer the problem with the plastic bags.
God Bless
