Poor Kid

Today I was able to leave the kids with a friend and go volunteer with Evan's class. Before I left Toby I changed his diaper. Since he'd sort of leaked out of the diaper, I decided to just let him run with no pants. When Amy wanted to take the kids outside she put a pair of her daughter's sweatpants on him. Purple sweatpants. Now, I didn't have anywhere else to go, so I didn't think it was a problem. Toby, on the other hand, certainly had something to say about the situation! The following is just a sampling of what I heard on the twenty five minute drive home. "I don't like these pants. They're terrible. I don't want you to put them in the dresser. Put them in a box for Avery. I don't like these red pants. These pants are awful. Take them off me. I've got a plan, take my seat belt off so I can take these terrible pants off. They're so bad" and on and on and on. (No, colors aren't his strong suit!)
I'll be sure to let you know when Toby is on Oprah for the trauma caused to him by making him wear purple pants! ;)

Poor Tobias. My little nephew (who is now married, in the military, and a parent) used to love the color pink and insisted on having a pink bathing suit when he was not much older than Toby. It apparently didn't warp him, so maybe having to wear those "red" pants won't warp Toby either.

Mom didn't mention that he also had to have a pair of women's pantyhose. Perhaps he is a little more warped than she thinks.

He's not colorblind is he?

That same cousin's dad tried to draw a moustache on his own face when he was in high school. He was redheaded--his moustache was green (marker).

Oh my, that's hilarious. Didn't the woman have anything more gender neutral than purple??
"I've got a plan..." I hear that one quite often around here. Some of their plans are just too cute!

Jamie loves pink and purple. In fact, he has a pink blanket he still insists on sleeping with!

That is so great! He sounds like a super smart, super funny little person. The word "terrible" made me laugh outloud!
