That's really called "thrifty gal curtains", and I'm all for that. My first homemade curtains were a pair of large, creamy yellow bath towels tied back with white eyelet (all I had to do was sew a top tunnel for the curtain rod by folding a couple inches of towel over and sewing)...for the bathroom. That was when I was newly married (21 years old)...so, we do what we must to get by on our wonderful budgets!
